The Collapse of the German Empire
The Germans would eventually end up losing WW1 due to overwhelming Allied numbers from the United States, France and Great Britain. The Germans were also blockaded, had no supplies, and had incompetent allies. They had to sign an a peace treaty on November 11, 1918. After the war, the treaty of Versailles was enstated, making them pay extremely large sums of money, become democratic, lose land, demilitarize the Rhineland, limit their army, and eventually make them lose their coal (their main resource), as they couldn't pay up. Germany also lost all their colonies, however Germany would come back with a vengeance in 1939...
